About This Product
Chilli in our sambal, chilli in our char kuey teow, chilli in our curry - there’s almost nowhere we Malaysians wouldn’t have chilli and for good reason too. Chilli helps spice up otherwise mild tasting (perhaps bland) food and it’s also a secret ingredient to losing weight in a delicious way. However, slicing up chillies by the dozens is certainly no fun task. Not only does it take time, it leaves your hands feeling extra ‘fiery’ for the rest of the day and don’t even think about rubbing your eyes unless you want to imitate a fountain for a while.
Introducing our Premium Whitebait Chilli, an easy way to add spicy, briny flavours into your food. No peeling, slicing or crying and certainly no chilli seeds to give you a better mouthfeel. Made from locally sourced chillies and a generous helping of premium Japanese whitebait (しらす shi-ra-su), it imparts an intensely rich, spicy, briny flavour that will up the umami ante of any dish without the dreaded fishy taste or smell. A delicious addition to complement your favourite dishes, our Premium Whitebait Chilli replaces chilli seeds with sesame seeds for a more fragrant and healthier dose of nutrients. Plus, our Premium Whitebait Chilli contains no MSG or artificial additives! So, go ahead and add that spoonful of chilli onto your favourite foods whatever it may be, we won’t judge.

What Does This Taste Like?
A spicy, briny, umami-rich chilli with crispy bits from the whitebait, garlic and onion.
Health Benefits
1. Chillies contain capsaicin that are often used for its analgesic properties and may help with weight loss. Chillies are also antioxidant-rich.
2. Chillies contain vitamins and minerals such as vitamin C, vitamin B6, vitamin K, potassium and copper.
3. Capsaicin contained in chillies can aid diabetes prevention. It is credited with promoting weight loss by reducing appetite and increasing fat burning.
4. Capsanthin contained in red chillies make up 50% if carotenoid content. It has potent antioxidant properties that may help fight cancer.
5. Whitebait is a great source of calcium and omega-3 fatty acids.
