We have covered in an earlier blog post on the many benefits of yoga towards our body, mind and spirit. Research suggests that regularly practicing yoga also shows phenomenal benefits, particularly towards the emotional well being, fatigue and pain of breast cancer patients and survivors. Today, we are guiding you through 3 yoga poses that are safe and gentle for you. You can try these simple poses in the comfort of your own home to gently build your strength too!
1. Breathing Exercise
This is a deep breathing exercise that encourages complete breathing to help release muscle tension. You can do this at any time of the day if you are feeling a little stressed as it thoroughly helps you recentre your mind.
2. Forward Bend
The forward bend helps you stretch your lower body while relieving tension in your neck and back. If you are a beginner, you may want to bend your knees a little while you bend forward to not sprain yourself.
3. Child’s Pose
As its name suggests, this is yet another simple exercise for you to completely stretch out your body and relax your muscles. Breathe and hold this pose for up to 10 breaths and feel a more relaxed state of mind.
