1. Don’t hit the snooze button.
Let’s face it – if you’ve had to set your alarm the night before, you’ll have to wake up at that particular time the next day. But, if we’re being honest, this is usually a major struggle. What we can practice to help make this a little easier is to set an intention. This habit helps you align your conscious thinking with primal motivations in mind. Doing so can truly change your perspective towards your day. It makes your words, actions and responses more mindful and compassionate.

2. Hydrate yourself.
Our bodies are usually pretty dry in the morning after an entire night’s sleep. Drinking water when you first get up in the morning can help in flushing out any harmful toxins in your body. Having a glass of lemon-infused water is also a great way to refresh and rehydrate your body. The tanginess even acts as a nice wake-me-up for those dull mornings.

3. Eat your breakfast.
Breakfast is often called the most important meal of the day, for very obvious reasons. Yet, we often seem to either neglect or forget about it as we’re rushing to head to work.
