Love Your Body Before Anything Else

We have been taught from a young age to always say “thank you” to others. But how often do you thank yourself? Thanking, loving and embracing your body is one of the most important things you can do in your pursuit of self-love and happiness. It may not be easy, especially with bizarre societal standards around us, but we’ve all got to start somewhere.

Here are 3 simple steps to give your body the love and appreciation it deserves.



1. Stop comparing yourself to others.
You need to stop comparing yourself to others. Women all over the world have different body types and guess what? They’re all equally as beautiful. Your body size and shape are not a measure of who you are as a person. You deserve to be loved and accepted in your exact body, no matter how society tries to tell you otherwise.

2. Get to know your body.
To love your body, you need to first know your body. Get to know your body’s language so you’re able to understand what it’s trying to tell you. Take the time to listen to your body and be compassionate to its needs. It’s important to understand that everything takes time. Don’t try to rush the process, instead be in tune with it and subsequently learn to love your body.

3. Practice habits that make your body feel good.
Once you’ve grown to understand your body, make it a habit to do something that makes your body feel good. Whether it’s getting a neck massage, putting a refreshing mask right before bed or going for a run around the park. Anything that makes your body feel good, do it. Make it a habit to shower your body with love and you’ll feel much better about yourself too.
