“I can’t talk right now, I’ll call you later”.

"We’ll meet another day, I can’t make it tonight”.

We often utter these words to our parents everyday without even knowing it. At some times, it may feel invasive, as though our parents are constantly all up in our space. At other times, it may also feel frustrating when they just do not seem to understand things from our point of view. We know, we’ve been there countless times (and are still there 😉)!

Growing older and experiencing the world around us has made us realize how phenomenal the power of love is. To be precise, the love from our parents.

Our parents check in on us everyday because they want the absolute best for us. It’s easy to overlook their love and care with our busy schedules in the way. Cook them a home cooked meal, tidy up the house on weekends or simply have a sit-down chat to catch them up on what’s been happening throughout the week.

It can be hard even for us, to keep up with the trends and technology these days. Just imagine how overwhelming it must feel for our parents. Let’s not forget that they have been guiding us all throughout our lives in one way or another, shaping us into who we are today. Now, it’s our turn to guide them, so be sure to practice patience because after all, they were the ones who first taught us how to walk.
