The Perfect Grab-To-Go Fruits

by Stefanie | 5 Aug 2020

It’s always easy to start a healthy diet. But maintaining it is where it gets tough. One of the hardest temptations is snack cravings. Most of the time, we tend to grab whatever is on hand and that leads to binging on snacks that aren’t exactly the healthiest. Instead of giving in and grabbing those quick-and-easy calorie-laden snacks, why not snack on fruits! Here’s a list of some really easy grab-and-go fruits to help keep your diet in check.

1. Apple

An apple a day keeps the doctor away so there’s just no reason not to love apples! Be sure to wash them, eat it and throw the core once you’re done. Easy, healthy and utterly delicious!

2. Grapes

Grapes are just as convenient because you just have to peel them off the stalk and enjoy! While seedless grapes are more enjoyable, we do highly recommend you eat seeded grapes too. Grape seeds contain melatonin and some of the most powerful antioxidants, bringing you heaps of benefits.

3. Banana

These are even easier to snack on, just grab a banana and off you go! Bananas are loaded with potassium thus helping you feel full for a long period of time so it’s a great fruit that aids in weight loss. A medium-sized banana contains about 60-80 calories only so enjoy this fruit without guilt!

4. Citrus fruits

Citrus fruits are not only great at waking you up with their tanginess, but are also very nutritious because they contain high vitamin C content. They also contain substances called limonoids which fight cancer so these fruits are truly power-packed! Adding slices of citrus fruits into your glass of water is also excellent at spicing up your water and giving you that added boost of fibre.

5. Nectarine

Nectarines have come in full force this past few weeks. They not only taste divine but also look adorable so that’s always a plus point! They are filled with vitamins A and C as well as fibre so they can definitely keep you full too. Simply add a whole nectarine to your lunch box and snack on it when you’re feeling the munchies!

6. Berries

Berries are always a favourite and loved from kids to adults. From blueberries to strawberries, these tiny but mighty fruits are packed with antioxidants that help with cell development. Wash a handful of them and snack happily throughout the day!
