Talking about plant-based diet, it has becoming a trend recent day. But there are still some people have the opinion it is boring, not appetizing, and lack of nutrients. However, it is not as bad as it. Lots of nutrients can be obtained if you plan the diet correct. Moreover, most of the benefits can be obtained in the plant-based diet (vegetables, fruits, wholegrains, beans, nuts) more if compared to animal-based diet (meat). Fibre, vitamins, minerals and healthy fats, are rich in the plant-based diet. Phytochemicals are also rich in this diet and beneficial to our health, since it provides the body’s systems protection properties (Warren, 2015).

1. Lower the Cardiovascular Disease risk factors
Plant-Based diet is high fibre and healthy fats, which can lower serum cholesterol concentrations.

2. Lower hypertension
Plant-Based diet as the one of the diets to reduce hypertension, along with exsercise and low-sodium diet (Patel, Chandra, Alexander, Soble, Williams, 2017).

3. Help to lower body weight
According to Patton & Zumpano (2012), there are studies show that plant-based diet may help to lower body weight, as this diet is rich in fibre, therefore it provides longer satiation.

4. Save our earth 🌏
