Signature Market's Magic Ball Therapy Workshop

by Kevin | 28 May 2019

On the 26th of May, Signature Market came out with a magic ball therapy workshop for our loyal top-spending customers to show our gratitude for their support throughout our journey.

Magic Ball therapy workshop was conducted by Ms Hui Shan and there were 2 sessions conducted before 12pm. Ms Shan herself is a certified acupressure ball therapist and a certified yoga instructor. She also founded Shanshineyoga. Shanshineyoga is a freelance yoga class for those who seek the teachings of the ancient practice of yoga.

The Magic Ball therapy focuses on "Double A Therapy", Acupressure & Aroma. Thus, the therapy also showcases Signature Market's essential oil collection. Signature Market's essential oil comes in many varieties so there's something for everyone.

A range of essential oils have been found to have various degrees of antimicrobial activity and are believed to have antiviral, nematicidal, antifungal, insecticidal, and antioxidant properties. Aromatherapy applications include massage, topical applications, and inhalation.

So Ms Shan showed us that aromatherapy is normally used through inhalation or as a topical application, the oils evaporate into the air using a diffuser container, spray, or oil droplets, or breathed in.

Besides the essential oil therapy, Ms Shan showed us the benefits of using spiky massage balls. Those benefits include;

Improving circulation:
Rolling each foot over a spiky ball in a 10 to the 20-minute session just before bedtime can be a great way to boost circulation in your lower extremities as well as help you feel calmer so that you can fall asleep faster, and sleep better too.

Relieving headaches and migraines:
Individuals suffering from headaches and migraines experienced significant improvement after receiving reflexology treatments using the magic ball therapy.

Decreases the pain of plantar fasciitis and flat feet
Chronic heel pain that often results from deterioration of the connective tissue that supports the arch of the foot, or the plantar fascia, can be significantly lessened through foot exercise and deep foot massage, including using a spiky ball to massage the feet and applying strong pressure to the arch. It can also help people who don’t have a normal foot arch due to ligament laxity, which causes the arch to collapse, resulting in what’s known as “flat feet.” While some people with this condition don’t experience pain, others suffer from pain even with just mild physical activity.
