How To Bake Cookies To Die For!

I think that we could all agree when I say we all have certain affection towards cookies. Whether it is that time of the year that you would want to indulge in them or it is something that you generally tend to love to eat, we cannot escape our loving for cookies.

There might also be a growing number of people who are developing an interest in trying to bake for them but find it to be quite confusing and not so clear cut. The food habits of things like cookies in Malaysia, has always been something that has been there.

In Malaysia, we tend to love the cakes and cookies and everything in between. In this particular article, we will be going over certain mouthwatering recipes and baking hacks that you could possibly implement in order to take your baking skills to the next level. And for the ones looking to ply their trades in baking, this is most certainly going to be a good head start for you!



PEANUT BUTTER COOKIES
We all have a soft spot for peanut butter, we tend to always do. Peanut butter cookies are one of those desserts we are always in the mood for and ready to go for. They are salty, sweet, and even richer than what a chocolate chip cookie ever could be. People are certainly suckers for the classic look from pressing a fork into the dough, but you may totally skip and get over with that. In this recipe, we will be taking it up a notch by making and preparing some peanut butter stuffed cookies. And these are literally good every time you make them! For this recipe, you will be needing 4 dozens of yield and this recipe will take an estimated 1 hour and 30 minutes in total to be prepared from scratch.

Ingredients: You will need the following. 2 and a half cups of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of baking soda, half a teaspoon of baking powder and kosher salt, 1 cup of unsalted butter (salted), 1 cup of sugar, 1 cup of light brown sugar, 2 large eggs and 1 and a half cups of creamy peanut butter.

Directions: In a large bowl, whisk the flour together, baking soda, baking powder, and also salt. Using either a stand or a hand mixer and beat the butter and the sugar on medium speed until it becomes fluffy, for 2 minutes. Beat the eggs in one egg at a time, and also remember to mix it well after each addition. Add the peanut butter and continue mixing it until the mixture is completely smooth and also fluffy, and continue for 2 to 3 minutes more. OATMEAL CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES
This one is certainly a special one. We all love chocolate and these recipes would be practically incomplete without the addition of a chocolate chip cookie recipe, so here it is! You can indulge with the chocolate and be a tad bit healthier with some oatmeal, not bad right? This recipe is for when you combine taste and health together. For this particular recipe, you will need approximately 24 yields. This recipe also has a prep time of 5 minutes and a total cooking time of 30 minutes.

Ingredients: You will need the following. 1 cup of butter, softened. 3 quarter cup of brown sugar, half a cup of granulated sugar, 1 large egg, 1 teaspoon of pure vanilla extract, 1 and a half cups of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of baking soda, kosher salt and cinnamon, 3 cups of quick oats and finally 2 cups of chocolate chips.

Directions: First off, you will need to preheat your oven to about 350° and line up two baking sheets with parchment paper. Then, in a large bowl start creaming together the butter and the sugars until it becomes light and fluffy. After that add the egg and then the vanilla extract and ensure that you mix it well. In a separate large bowl, start whisking together your flour, baking soda, salt, as well as cinnamon. Add them to the wet ingredients and start mixing until everything is just combined then stir in the oats and your chocolate chips. Finally, scoop out the dough onto your baking sheets about 2 apart. And then bake until it is set, which will take about 12 minutes.



RED VELVET COOKIES
This one, well this one can be basically called red velvet perfection! The outsides of the cookies are made with red velvet and the insides have cream cheese fillings! That’s outrageous to begin with. For this recipe you will need anywhere from 12 to 15 yields. This has a prep time of 20 minutes and a total time of 1 hour and 10 minutes.

Ingredients: For the cream cheese filling, this is what you will need. 12 ounces of softened cream cheese, half a cup of powdered sugar and just a pinch of kosher salt.

As for the cookie dough, you will need 6 tablespoons of softened butter, half a cup of sugar, a quarter cup of brown sugar, 1 large egg, 1 teaspoon of pure vanilla extract, 1 and a quarter teaspoons of all-purpose flour, 2 tablespoons of unsweetened cocoa powder, half a teaspoon of baking powder and 1 tablespoon of red food coloring.

Directions: Start with preheating your oven to about 350° and line up a large baking sheet with your parchment paper. Make the cheesecake filling by combining the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and also the salt into a small bowl. Mix it well until the mixture is smooth. Then, cover it with a plastic wrap and refrigerate it until it becomes slightly firm, about 30 minutes or so.

To make the cookie dough, in a large bowl using a hand mixer, add cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg and the vanilla extract. Continue by add the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, food coloring, and also salt. Mix it all until it is just combined. To make the cookies you will need to scoop about a tablespoon of the cookie dough and flatten in out to flat, pancake like circle. then add about 2 teaspoons of the cream cheese filling into the center of the cookie.

Then form another tablespoon of cookie dough into a flat circle and place it on top of the filling. Make sure to pinch the edges together to seal the cookie, and then roll the filled dough into a ball. Space the cookies about 3 apart on prepared baking sheet and then just bake the cookies for about 15 to 17 minutes. Let the cookies cool slightly and they are ready to be served.



PUMPKIN CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES
This is definitely an upgrade over your standard chocolate chip cookies with the addition of pumpkin! This comes with a prep time of 15 minutes and a total time of 1 hour.

Ingredients: 2 and a quarter cups of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of baking soda and pumpkin pie spice, half teaspoon of kosher salt, 1 cup of unsalted butter, 3 quarter cups of brown sugar, half cup of granulated sugar, 3 quarter cup of pumpkin puree, 1 large egg, 2 teaspoon of pure vanilla extract and 2 cups of semi-sweet chocolate chips.

Directions: Start by preheating your oven to about 375° and line up two large baking sheets with some parchment paper. In a small bowl, whisk together your flour, baking soda, pumpkin spice, and also salt. In a larger bowl using a hand mixer, cream together the butter and the sugars until light and fluffy. Beat in the pumpkin, egg, as well as the vanilla extract until combined, and then add in the flour mixture.

Beat it on low until no raw flour is to be seen, then fold in the chocolate chips. Refrigerate the dough for about 30 minutes. Scoop out 1 ball sized onto the prepared baking sheets, ensure that they are 2 inches apart, and bake it until they are puffy and golden around edges, which will take about 12 minutes.
